Tylosin injection 20%
Description Yellow clear liquid.
Specification 100ml of the product contains 20g of tylosin.
Indication antibiotics. Mainly used to prevent and control the diseases caused by mycoplasma in cattle, sheep ,pig , birds and etc. Such as bovine contagious pleuropneumonia, contagious caprine pleuropneumonia, pig's asthma, chicken's chronic respiratory disease(CRD), the infectious rhinitis and Mycoplasma hyorhinis, Mycoplasmose. Also used to treat the cattle mastitis, pneumonia, transportation fever , necrotic pododermatitis, as well as swines infectious pleuropneumonia, atrophic rhinitis and pigs dysentery.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION Intramuscular injection ;
The recommended dosage is 5-13 mg per kg of body weight.
Calves, Ovine, pig, dog and cat: Each time dosage: 0.025-0.065ml per kg of body weight, twice a day, continuously for 5 days
Poultry, 0.125ml per kg of body weight, once a day, continuously for 5 days.
For Calves: Do not inject at the same spot quantity of solution greater than 10 ml. If a big animal requires p.e 30 ml , then 3 injections of 10 ml at 3 different spots should be done.
For pigs, dogs and cats : Do not inject solution more than 5 ml at the same spot.
Side effects In some cases, may be observed irritation , light itch, or necrosis at the point of injection. Occasionally, have been referred allergic reactions due to hypersensitivity at tylosin.
Precaution
(1) If tylosin meet iron, copper, aluminum, tin etc may reduce their activity..
(2) Do not administer simultaneously with cardiac glycosides, due to the raise of their concentration in blood..
(3) Tylosin has antagonism with chloramphenicol and lincomycin ,do not simultaneously use
CONTRA INDICATIONS
The product should not be administered at horses and rabbits. Also, should not be administer at animals with renal disorders, or hypersensitivity at tylosin
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN BY THE PERSON ADMINISTERING THE PRODUCT TO ANIMALS
Avoid direct contact with the product .It is possible to notice dermatitis by contact.
OVERDOSE
Overdose can cause digestive disorders as vomit, anorexia, diarrhea and even toxicosis. In that case the administration must be stopped at once and the symptoms must be handled.
